The Old House Gallery has been in the corner of Oakham’s Market Place for over thirty years and Potter/Proprietor Richard Clarke is the third generation to be trading in this historic and unique market town, situated near to Rutland Water. The Gallery deals in original works which are carefully chosen to reflect Richard's keen interest in contemporary Art and Craft movement. Many of the artists and craftsmen represented are unique to the gallery giving a feel of individual originality with work coming from ‘the local scene’ and also from across the UK including works from Southern Ireland.
Richard also runs a successful framing business and is recognised
across the country as one of the framing industries
